Track Name: Last Fall
I haven't been myself since last fall and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one to notice / It's been harder to get through, to talk to anyone / to communicate, to articulate what I'm thinking / what I'm saying isn't making any sense / I'm not making any sense
Track Name: Writing Songs is Hard
Jotting down events of the past two years / words spill out, they're a cloudy mess, an emotional wreck / nothing but dirt and tears / resurrecting pain I felt / when revisiting the love I held / reminding me that I'm never quite over anything.

I just wanted it to be poetry / when I revealed the private thoughts that have been lingering / when I try to sing it stings in my throat and there's bitterness on my teeth / but I repeat, this form of therapy, this honesty.

Jotting down events of the past two years / this action does not serve as an eraser / and this pen and paper can't make my thoughts clear /
in a fit of frustration I'll give up and lose my patience / extract the memory from my head and make it into something beautiful instead.

I just wanted it to be poetry / when I sang of how you lost your love for me / when I try to sing it stings in my throat and there's bitterness on my teeth / but I repeat, this form of therapy, this honesty

Damn, I swear you were just here / a timeline of two years / pass by like the highway in my cars review mirror.
Track Name: David Bowie Sucks & So Do You
You are a mattress without a bed frame / you're a record from the 80's / you're warm tea in the mornings / that's how I remember it /
you are a calm to my anxiety / you are a record from the 90's / your warm skin in the morning / that's how I remember it

I miss drinking wine in your kitchen / miss being your someone for awhile / and when we'd hang out in nighttime hours / and I'll be hanging on the corners of your smile

You are a photo from February / you are calm, content, and happy / you are my favorite part of mornings / that's how I remember it / you are a calm to my anxiety / you are a record from the 90's / your warm skin in the morning / that's how I remember it

I miss drinking wine in your kitchen / miss being your someone for awhile / and when we'd hang out in nighttime hours / I'll be hanging on the corners of your smile

and you were so hard to read / I could never if you felt the same about me / but you were so hard to read / I could never tell if you missed me

I miss drinking wine in your kitchen / miss being your someone for awhile / and when we'd hang out in nighttime hours / I'll be hanging on the corners of your smile
Track Name: Twin Pupils
When I hold you it's just body / when I touch you it's just skin / when I looked into your twin pupils / I didn't think that I would feel nothing

I said "I don't want you to simply fill a void"/ you said "We don't have to, we'll do whatever you want / we'll do whatever you want"

When I hold you it's just body / when I touch you it's just skin / when I looked into your twin pupils / I didn't think that I would feel /
When I hold you it's just body / when I touch you it's just skin / when I looked into your twin pupils / I didn't think that I would feel /

I know someone will hold your body / I know someone will touch your skin / and when they look into your twin pupils / I promise you will feel something / you'll feel something / I promise you.
